Welcome to Urban Heat Sauna! We’re excited to welcome you into our space. Please take a moment to read these Terms & Conditions before booking. By making a booking or attending a session, you agree to these terms. They are designed to keep everyone safe, comfortable, and ensure we comply with health and safety regulations.
1. Bookings, Payments & Cancellations
All bookings, memberships, and credits are managed through our booking platform, Momence. By making a booking, you agree to manage your sessions, cancellations, and credits via your Momence account. By completing a booking, you confirm that you understand and accept this cancellation and credit policy.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made at least 12 hours before the start time of your booked session, for communal and guided sauna sessions and 72 hours for a private sauna session.
Cancellations made less than 12 hours before the session start time are non-refundable and non-creditable.
Rescheduling is permitted up to 6 hours before the start time of your booked session and must be completed via your Momence account or by contacting us.
Rescheduling requests made less than 6 hours before the session start time will be treated as a late cancellation or no-show.
Failure to attend a session without cancelling (“no-shows”) will result in loss of the session with no refund or credit.
If you are a member, any late cancellation, late reschedule attempt, or no-show will result in the loss of that session credit.
Credits, Refunds & Memberships
Where a cancellation is eligible under our policy, refunds will be issued as credits to your Momence account.
Credits can be accessed and used by logging into your Momence account and are subject to any expiry or membership rules.
Cash or card refunds are not automatic. If you believe a refund to your original payment method is required, you must contact us directly at info@urbanheatwellness.com. Refunds are issued at our discretion and may take several working days to process depending on your Bank.
2. Health & Safety
Personal Responsibility: Using saunas, cold plunge tubs, and showers involves heat, cold, and slippery surfaces. If you have any medical conditions, underlying health issues, history of dizziness/fainting, take medication, or are pregnant, consult your GP before booking. Participation is at your own risk.
Contraindications: We recommend medical clearance if you have any of the following: pregnancy, cardiovascular or blood pressure disorders, nervous system disorders, lymphatic issues, heart conditions, epilepsy, asthma, diabetes, allergies, or any other condition impacted by heat/cold exposure.
Cold Exposure: Ice baths are very cold and can cause shock. Enter slowly, know your limits, and exit immediately if you feel unwell.
Emergencies: Follow staff instructions at all times. Fire exits are clearly marked and must remain unobstructed.
3. Age & Supervision
Minimum age for sauna use is 18.
Under 18s are not permitted.
4. Hygiene & Attire
Shower before and between sauna and ice bath use.
Swimwear is required on your lower half at all times. Upper body swimwear is optional but recommended in mixed sessions.
Always sit or lie on a towel in the sauna - no bare skin on benches.
Remove jewellery, watches, and eyewear before entering the sauna to avoid burns/damage.
No oils, fragrances, or substances may be placed on sauna stones by guests.
5. Session Etiquette
Limit sauna time to 15 minutes per round, with cool-down breaks between.
Avoid alcohol or other substances before or during sessions; intoxicated guests will be refused entry without refund.
No smoking or vaping inside the arch, back yard, or lounge. Smoking is only permitted outside the front of the property, per our building regulations.
If adding water to the sauna stones, use a small ladle and check that others agree before doing so. Please do not pour copious amounts of water onto the stones - as this will cool down the sauna and break the heater.
Be mindful of noise - Urban Heat is a calm, social space and we aim to make the sauna experience relaxing for all. Guests who are excessively loud may be asked to leave.
6. Personal Belongings & lockers
We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal property. Leave valuables at home.
Lockers are provided for guest convenience only. Urban Heat Sauna accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings. Guests are responsible for the safekeeping and return of locker keys before leaving the premises. Lost, damaged, or unreturned keys will incur a £75 replacement fee
7. Use of Facilities
Use all facilities as instructed by staff.
No unauthorised equipment or hazardous items (e.g., pressurised gas cylinders, flammable liquids, lithium battery charging) are permitted on site.
Please do not obstruct communal areas, fire escapes, or emergency exits
8. Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse entry or ask guests to leave without refund if:
They are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
They breach health & safety guidance.
They behave in a way that causes nuisance or risk to others, staff, or property.
9. Photography & Privacy
Urban Heat may capture images from our sauna sessions for marketing. We'll always ask permission before taking any photos/videos, and including you in any marketing collateral.
10.Liability
Urban Heat Sauna is located under a railway arch. You accept that occasional noise, vibration, or dust from railway operations may occur and is outside our control.
We are not liable for injuries, losses, or damages except where caused by our negligence
