FAQs

  • How long are your sessions?

Standard sessions are 45, 60 or 90 minutes, giving you plenty of time for multiple rounds of sauna, ice baths, and rest.

  • Are all sessions mixed gender?

Most sessions are mixed gender unless stated otherwise.

We also run gender-specific sessions twice a month for those who might be more comfortable in a same-gender space.

  • What’s included in my visit?

Every session includes full access to our sauna, ice baths, outdoor showers, lounge, and relaxation areas.

You’ll also get a quick orientation on how to sauna safely if its your first time.

  • What should I bring?

    - Swimwear, two towels (one to sit on in the sauna, one to dry off), indoor non slip shoes and a water bottle

We provide drinking water, lockers with keys, and toiletries for post-session showers.

  • What’s your cancellation policy?

For communal sauna sessions, you can cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before your session for a full credit.

For private sessions, we operate a 72 hour cancellation policy.

  • Do you have showers?

Yes we have three showers (hot and cold) and toiletries.

Post sauna, please rinse thoroughly before you get into the ice baths - this helps keep the water clean for everyone!

  • What’s the sauna etiquette?

    - Sit on your towel at all times.

    - Keep voices low inside the sauna.

    - No shaving, exfoliating, or personal grooming in the showers

    - Smoking or vaping is not permitted anywhere, except for outside the building.

  • Can I pour water on the sauna stones?

Yes - but be mindful of how much water you pour over. Little and often is best - too much water can cool the heater significantly, or break it.

Our Harvia Virta Pro heater is powerful, and the host will manage the steam (“löyly”) to keep it safe and enjoyable for everyone.

  • Is alcohol allowed?

No - alcohol, drugs, and intoxicated guests are strictly prohibited. You may be refused entry without a refund.

  • What if I feel unwell during my visit?

Exit the sauna immediately, rest in the lounge, and let a member of staff know.

  • Can I use the sauna if I’m pregnant or have a health condition?tem

Please consult your GP before booking. Sauna and ice baths are not suitable for everyone.

  • Is there parking or bike storage?

There’s no on-site parking. Limited on-street parking is available nearby. Please lock bikes securely outside the arch; we are not responsible for theft.

  • Is the venue accessible?

Our entrance is step-free and the lounge is wheelchair accessible, but our changing cubicles, sauna and outdoor area have some narrow pathways. Please contact us in advance to discuss your needs.

  • Can I bring a group?

Absolutely - you can either book individual sauna seats, or privately hire the entire space depending on the group size.

Check the private hire section of the website. You can also email us to discuss at info@urbanheatwellness.com.
